Once baby arrives, mom and dad are no longer the center of attention.
They quickly learn that the words independence, sleep
and freedom will be exiting their vocabulary—replaced
with selfless-ness, sleepless-ness and spontaneous-ness.
Friends and family visit the hospital to “oooo” and “ahhh”
over little junior (which is completely appropriate!) —however,
mom and dad still need attention too.
So, that’s where you come in! Consider bringing a “date
night” to their hospital room.
Start with a good homemade meal--whether deli sandwiches or something
more elaborate. They’ll be overjoyed to skip the hospital food.
Then, bring a basket filled with additional accoutrements to help
them celebrate and relax!
Include sparkling cider and personalized toasting glasses—add
their names with puffy paint or have us customize with Swarovski crystals
(similar to these).
Email us at contactus@chicblvd.com
with your request! (So baby isn’t left out, make a customize
bottle too!)
Then, add some lotions or massage oils so dad can massage mommy’s
tired feet after hours of labor. For ideas check out www.nattyproducts.com–-the
items are so unique and natural!
Include some of their favorite snacks to indulge during late-night
feeding! You might also want to include some magazines, playing cards
or other items that will make their stay more enjoyable!
Your thoughtfulness will not go unappreciated—and they will
surely remember it when you are in the hospital with your
new baby!
