Hint Mint and ChicBlvd.com have partnered to start the Carry A Tin 4 AIDS project, where we have asked 50 people to "carry a tin", take one of the 35 mints inside, make a donation, and pass the tin on to another person. As the tins pass from person to person, they will raise both awareness and money around the world.

Every person who carries a tin is asked to make a donation (on behalf of their tin) to Hint Mint's partner charity, YouthAIDS, or ChicBlvd's partner charity, Compassion.com.

Each tin must arrive at the final destination of the YouthAIDS office in Washington DC, on or before January 31st, 2007.

We also want to encourage all tin carriers to get people involved...
Host a party and raise the roof while raising money for the tin. Have a bake sale, or a lemonade stand with the kids... RAISE SOME
AWARENESS!

All the experiences written by our tin carriers will be posted online, and can be viewed when you look up a tin's number (#1 through #50) on this site.

We will also be tallying donations here on the site so you can see which tins have raised the most money for the cause... We hope that each person who gets a tin will have not only their compassion and awareness engaged, but also their sense of competition, trying to have the tin with the most money raised!

With 35 mints in each tin, and 50 tins in the program, there will be a total of 1750 people who will be tin carriers... But if they talk to their friends, blog, write an article, start their own chains of awareness...there is no limit to the amount of people that can be touched.

Don't have a tin but want to be a part of the project?

It's simple.

You can make a donation directly to Hint Mint's partner, YouthAIDS (www.youthaids.org), or ChicBlvd's partner Compassion.com - You can sign in and make a PLEDGE to a tin # - where your donation will go towards the total amount that a specific tin has raised. When you "pledge to a tin" your profile will be added to that tin #'s profile on this site. You can also simply donate as an individual without being associated to one of the tins. Start here.

100% of Hint Mint's profits from the sale of the AIDS Awareness Series Mints will be donated directly to YouthAIDS, so now's the time to put that shopaholism to good use!

AIDS is a disease that is devastating our world, and Hint Mint and ChicBlvd hope that thousands of people can join us in raising awareness and hope, and keeping the dialogue strong and loud. It's as simple as sharing a mint, but the effect is as profound as we make it.
